Available Adults and older puppies
Here I will list any available Adults or older puppies. I sometimes retire a dog if I feel they would be happier in a home where they have the spotlight . These dogs would need a loving home with no dogs or maybe one as a friend. For the most part, I am not retiring them to breeding homes as there is a reason I am not breeding them. They just deserve the best forever homes I can find for them. If you are looking for a breeding dog, please contact me to see what puppies or dogs I might have available with breeding rights. I will list some info with each dog and you can fill out the application if you would like to discuss providing one with a forever home. Occasionally I may have a dog or older puppy not suited for breeding that I feel would be best placed in a home with a loving owner, but this is not an easy decision for me. I love all my dogs. Application is at the bottom of this page. Please email me with any questions CamlynCockers@live.com

Available older puppies and dogs
AKC registered sable roan male cocker spaniel available. He was born on Sept 2 , 2023 and is ready to go now. He has all shots , including rabies. I expect him to be around 20-24 lbs full grown. Parents health tested through embark. He is crate trained and housebroken . He is very sweet and loves belly rubs. He is a little timid at first , but loves people .Grady has a soft loving personality and just wants to be around his person as much as possible. He would make a great playmate for school age children , teenagers, adults or older adults, He does have cherry eyes, that will need to be tacked down when he is Neutered in a few more months . He was returned to me due to the fact his new family's dog would not accept him as well as the new owner own health issues. I have reduced him from $1000 to $200 to help with the cherry eye repair at time of neutering. The discount should cover the cost of the eye repair as well as some of the neuter. he does have all his shots , so that will also save you a little money and he is ready to start puppy classes! I am located in Binghamton , NY and can help arrange delivery if needed. Just email me for more info. camlyncockers@live.com

After a lot of deliberation I have decided that I need to downsize and will be breeding only when I have a waiting list started. The past 2 years have become much more difficult to place puppies in good homes, The cost of care has gone up a lot and many people want puppies for less that I sold them for 20 years ago.. As much as I love doing this, I am not able to continue this way. I am going to start placing some of my dogs now just so all of them get a lot of attention and the love as they deserve . I have cut back on breeding due to less people looking for puppies recently, so I have decided to let some of my dogs go to forever homes where they can be spoiled. . They live in my home and are looking for a forever home with love and a warm bed. It is a very hard decision that many breeders face at one time or another. We either have to place some or stop breeding so all dogs get the attention they deserve.
Some of these dogs will be retiring from breeding and some have never been bred. I only breed a few times and only up to about 5 years old or less. I want my dogs to have a wonderful retirement with lots of years to be part of a family. You can contact me if you are interested when they become available.. I do keep some that retire, but will also find new forever homes for some. I do what I feel is in the best interest of each individual dog. Some are happy here with a big dog family and others would be more happy with all your attention. They are good dogs that are used to being in the house. They are crate trained , at night and when I am not home . They walk on leashes or play in a fenced yard. They like to sleep on beds, theirs or yours if you like. They are housebroken, but please be patient with them until they learn your routine. Accidents may happen. It takes an adult dog a while to fully adjust to a new home. They will be groomed and up to date with shots. Some may be close to needing a rabies booster. All of my breeding dogs have been health tested through Embark or Gensol.
I will also be looking for homes for some dogs that have come back to me recently and need new homes of their own. I always take my dogs back for any reason and sometimes that means I need to find homes for older dogs. I will start listing them here. They all have different personalities and needs. They were not all raised here so they may or may not be fully house trained, but I have started working with them and with continued training and patience they will be amazing dogs. Please contact me if you are looking for an older dog and we can see if I might have just what you are looking for !

Emmett
Gender: Male $250
Age: 6 (will be 7 in June)
Weight: roughly 25 lbs
If I were to describe Emmett in one word it would be: gentlemanly.
He is a handsome AKC brown merle parti American Cocker Spaniel with an appearance reminiscent of fudge swirl ice cream and a personality that is just as sweet. This soft boy can come off as a little timid at first (easily mistaken for being afraid) but he is actually very comfortable in his own fur. In fact, he is the epitome of manners when it comes to asking for affection. For he will not jump up or even beg you to pet him, just look at you with shy puppy-dog-eyes when you take your hand away and give you a small, inviting wag of his tail as he asks for more.
Emmett is a dog of refined taste. He loves a good lap or two around a yard, his favorite ball, and prefers only the tastiest of dog treats to any silly old vegetables or special “human” foods. He gets along well with most dogs, but he could thrive with one other more independent furry companion. He does prefer females and is in fact best friends with our girl Aspen who is also available. I will offer a special deal if someone is interested in both dogs together. Above all else, he keeps his crate nice and clean. While Emmett is generally very quiet by nature, he IS a cultured sort of dog, and will occasionally sing with his beautiful soprano voice if the opportunity comes up.
Because he is a more refined and mature individual, he prefers the company of one or two adults, but would be willing to take audiences with older children. While he is not a super snuggly lapdog , Emmett would love nothing more than to sit quietly by a fireplace or on a front porch with his favorite humans and bask in the shared space between them.
Emmett is familiar with leashes, but as I stated above, he does love a good run when he can. We have a fenced in yard that he enjoys exploring. So, he may need a little time to fall into your walking routine. Luckily, he is a highly intelligent boy and picks up on new routines quickly, so that should be no issue at all.
Emmet loves to keep a tidy space. This means he is not prone to accidents. Yet, he will need time to adjust to his new home and figure out the routine, so he may have one or two until he knows exactly what you’d like him to do.
Overall, this charming gentleman is a well-mannered and pleasant little darling who is just looking for his retirement home where he can grow old and spend his days running, playing, and getting lots of love.
Emmett has been tested through Embark and is still intact although he is being placed as a pet only..

Buddy
Gender: Male. $250
Age: 3
Weight: Approximately 25lbs.
You’ve got a friend in Buddy. This handsome black and white F1 Cockapoo takes his name very seriously and is determined to be every living creature’s best pal. This happy fella lavishes in attention and is quick to learn. He loves to jump and run, often using his fellow dog friends as hurdles if they are in his way. That being said, it may be best for Buddy to live in a single dog home with special playtime visits with friends. He can have a little bit too much personality for other dogs sometimes.
Buddy would thrive in a home with someone who will spend time with him in the yard playing ball or who will take him on long walks. If given the chance, he’d probably be excellent in some obiedence or agility classes that would give him the opportunity to shine at what he does best.
Despite his energetic personality, Buddy is very easy to train. He lives for affection and aims to please his person, thus he catches on quickly to what you want him to do. Leash training should be a non-issue, as he tends to be a second shadow to the person he grows attached to. He will need some work on housetraining, but as long as you stay consistent with him and take him out often, at first, he will be just fine.
Buddy would probably do well in a home with older children. Not because he is aggressive to small children, but his overabundance of love might overflow too much and cause smaller children to tumble or get knocked over by his always-wagging tail.
This boy needs someone who wants to be around him as much as he wants to be around them. He is a lover and is ready to find a person all his own that he can show all his love to.
Buddy has never been bred and is still intact, but is being sold to a pet-only home.

Wren
Gender: Female. $350
Age: 4
Weight: roughly 10 lbs
With her plush mocha-colored fur and shining, chocolate eyes, it would be easy to mistake Wren for a stuffed toy. She is a F1 CKC Cockapoo with a personality just as sweet as her appearance . Much like her namesake, Wren is a chipper little girl with an energetic side that lives for running, hopping, and zoomies around the yard. Yet, this zany trait is perfectly balanced by her natural gentleness. After a good lap or two, there is nothing more that Wren loves to do but to lean back into your arms and be snuggled, giving you the sweetest kisses on your nose all the while.
This little girl has a puppy-like nature and is brimming with confidence and love. She gets along swimmingly with dogs of any size, loves people, and would probably love cats and children, too. Due to her small size, it is best if she finds a home with older children or those that know how to be gentle with small animals.
Wren is an ideal candidate for those who live in small apartments or in houses close to other neighbors. She is a very quiet girl who does not bark and will only whine quietly if she is trying to communicate to her person.
She will need some work on housebreaking, but is a very clever girl and should catch on quickly if her person stays committed to teaching her. While she hasn’t walked on a leash much, it should be easy to train her.
Wren has never been bred and is not spayed, but is being sold as a pet only

I have or will have these dogs available for a very reasonable rehoming fee. I will work on adding pictures and more info. If any of these dogs interest you, please contact me to learn more.

Adopting an older dog
Please try to remember that when you adopt an older dog it is a huge change for them. They were loved and cared for in my home, but everything is new, different and maybe even a little scary for them. Give them time. Have Patience with them.. They may be shy or extra naughty while they figure out where they fit in . They may take a little while to relax and come around to being the great dog that they truly are.
